Jake Phillips
Founder & CEO/COO
Jake Phillips is a sexual wellness educator, facilitator, and founder working at the intersection of self-pleasure, mindfulness, embodiment, and sexual self-awareness. He is the founder of The Bare Collective NYC, a community and educational platform that has developed programming centered on mindful masturbation, body awareness, pleasure exploration, and intentional sexuality.
Board-certified through the American Board of Sexology as a Device Specialist and Holistic Sexologist, Jake brings more than eight years of experience facilitating sex-positive, body-based, and nude spaces. His work spans private coaching, group education, experiential workshops, and the development of new frameworks for understanding our relationship with pleasure.
Jake has taught and facilitated alongside leading voices in New York City's sexual wellness community, including MMX NYC and Hit Me Up NYC, and has created programming designed to move conversations about masturbation beyond technique and toward awareness, agency, curiosity, and self-knowledge.
As founder of The Self Pleasure Institute, Jake is building a multidisciplinary platform dedicated to advancing how self-pleasure is understood, taught, and practiced. His work explores self-pleasure not simply as a sexual act, but as a practice through which people can better understand their bodies, patterns, desires, boundaries, attention, and relationship with themselves.
